JUNE 23

So this morning we left Albany and I was sad to say goodbye - it is a beautiful city of around 32,000 - the port is bustling - lots of movement on the water  and around it - heaps of industry with huge grain storage bins ready to transport out of Australia - silica mining which I'm told is sold to the Chinese for use in the making of microchips - agricultural - fishing - wood chips - and what seems to be a thriving retail sector which is extremely appealing in keeping with the early settlement of the town - heaps of out door eateries - we both loved it.
The foreshores are so accessible and all have walking and bike trails - all were busy with locals and tourists looking after their health.

And so on we drove - only a short distance today though to stay overnight at Walpole - but along the way we stopped at the most divine little town called Denmark
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denmark,_Western_Australia
 - we loved that too - very Berry NSW south coast....boutique shops, outdoor eateries and a marvellous bakery....we loved how the town obviously got the school kids involved in a road safety campaign and the children had designed banners which had been printed and hung across the streets.

A visit to the IGA and bakery and we were again on our way to Walpole

LOVED THIS SIGN ALONG THE WAY - MADE ME WANT TO TAKE SOME BACK TO NSW...

The drive was just so scenic - talllllllllllllll trees......
Our overnight stay is not in one of the best parks we have stayed in but we have all our own facilities so it's not a problem and our washing etc was done in Albany before we left. After we booked in and unhooked we went to see the

It does seem that everywhere along the coast from South Australia has the most beautiful jettys and this place is no exception and Don is now fishing in the rain from the jetty

...oh yes it's raining again..............
AND SO FOR TOMORROW....well it all depends again on the rain - but we are thinking Pemberton then Bunbury...
Cheers till then...
