The day started from Crystal Brook where we camped over night in the town's caravan park - it was a great opportunity to fill our water tanks and once again we found fellow travellers willing to tell us their stories -
We headed of with the intention of ending up in Port Lincoln but then Don saw that there was a Ferry Crossing from Wallaroo - so to Wallaroo we headed and the country side is clean, alive and oh so beautiful
When we got to Wallaroo we made enquiries at the Ferry office - one ferry a day and it was a minimum of $349.00 before our vehicle was measured to cross - well we could see the other side and the Ferry had already departed so around we turned and headed back to where our day commenced but enroute stopped at the most delightful sea side town of Port Broughton where we had some lunch and took Millie for a break - the couple in THE DOCK OF THE BAY café and Restaurant had moved from Adelaide 12 months ago to start a new life with their family and just loved the place - I don't blame them - it was just a lovely place to visit
So back along the road to Port Augusta - the contrast in the landscape is incredible - the farming land looks amazing after the rain then there are the hills, the wind turbines, the water pipes and the amazingly tall power lines
And so tonight as I said earlier we are staying at Point Bonython where the winds are howling and I have just received the most wonderful news from my bestie at home......
