Day 3 - on the road to nowhere....

Today started off with Don trying to catch us breakfast in the Murray - we had to settle for Nutri Grain unfortunately.  Don loves to chat
and it's easy to find someone to chat to on the road - it's only a couple of days into our adventure but we have already met some wonderful people with interesting stories - most are around our age and so many are travelling full time - the couple we met this morning were
from Mackay and have been on the road since November - another couple we met lost everything in the GFC and are now travelling and living in their van.
The clouds eventually cleared after no fish were caught and beautiful pelicans appeared for our enjoyment

After a chat, some breakfast we hitched up again, got a few groceries and hit the road heading to
the most delightful settlement known as MORGAN on The Murray River - high cliffs, wide river, riverboats, ferries it was just beautiful and once again we found plenty of people to talk to who are all happy to share their stories with you

After we had had some lunch we drove on to Burra, this is where Don's great, great grandfather came from and where he established the Collinsville merino stud - the property has recently been sold and the shed signage could barely been seen under the painted roof but it was there and that wall all Don needed to see...

The town of Burra was beautiful - the people once again were happy to talk and we took advantage of their knowledge and friendliness.

And so we left Burra and travelled through landscape that was full of contrasts - but the stretch between Burra and where we are at Crystal Brook is some of the most rich and beautiful farming land we have ever seen -
