We've arrived at Albany....

The weather was not kind yesterday and so off we headed to Albany http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albany,_Western_Australia

- we got here after dark and have booked in for 3 nights at a park on the beach.

The trip was through some beautiful farm based countryside which ran sheep and cattle

and farming crops of wheat and canola
- it was obvious that the rain has been falling long before we got here as water is lying everywhere.  The cattle were fat and healthy and the sheep look contented.  We must have passed at least 6 huge grain silos "bins" and then there was the massive mine at Ravensthorpe.

I can only imagine how stunning the countryside must look down this way in the spring as the wildflowers even now were just so pretty....

how many can you identify?

On our trip we brought with us to try out the Dometic 3 way fridge
- I had done heaps of cooking and had frozen meals for consumption by us on our journey...well this device is working a treat - it has not skipped a beat and our food is as fresh as the day it was prepared.

Catch up soon.....
