On the road to nowhere

So we've decided to hit the road and test out some of the equipment and gadgetry we sell through our business.

Monday June 10 - Wet....hooked up the Jayco and headed to Hay - we drove in heavy rain and thick fog until West Wyalong where we stopped to get fresh bread from a divine bakery in the main street.

Me...taking images on the iPhone and my trusty little Nikon - we didn't hurry and stopped when we wanted - one thing I can say about our state government the truck stops and amenities for long distance travellers in NSW road are unbelievably good - yet Victoria on the roads we have travelled to date are not so good.

We stayed our first night at Sandy Point a free camp stay which is featured on page 136 of the Hema Camp 6 book - it was recommended to us by customers some weeks ago and did not disappoint - Don was able to try his hand out at fishing - with no luck! and then we joined fellow campers with a red wine around an open fire - lovely - early evening though as Don had done a shift on the Driver Reviver station at home from 3.00 a.m. before we left.

The evening was ever so cold as the night grew on but we managed to stay warm and cosy in the Jayco.

The weather again has been unkind with more heavy rain and thick fog - the countryside is beautiful and the contrast is amazing - driving through the Hay plains where you can actually feel the curvature of the earth and although we look for a crop of hay were amazed to see that cotton is being grown down this way now.  We loved Hay's streetscape - wide, clean and coffee shops that were doing good trade...

We left Hay amongst the mist early on Tuesday June 11 and drove all the way through to Berri to what is another unbelievable FREE stay on the banks of the Murray river.

Our beautiful Millie is travelling well and behaving herself, although she did feel the cold last night...

We are taking images on our phones and sending them through to Garth and Donna as it helps Jack keep track of exactly where we are up to on the map.
Here are some images to date...
